Description
Molly McCall has combined two antiquarian techniques together in her latest series of glass plates: Photogram images are screened on to glass plates using crushed glass glazes. These glass layers are then fused together in a two-part glazing and firing process and then formed by hand in to plates. The result is an ephemeral floating image translucent and light as air. The fusion creates a smooth surface, which is both waterproof and dishwasher safe. Care: Do not remove the MMC label with a sharp object, you may scratch the plate. The label is a non-adhesive material and will come off easily with just a fingernail. Dishwasher safe, use mild detergent on warm gentle cycle. Never place glass in a freezer. These plates are not microwave safe.
